The ATEN US5324 is a compact USB peripheral sharing switch designed for dual-computer workstations, shared office desks, home offices and professional IT environments.

It allows one computer with a USB Type-A connection and one computer with a USB Type-C connection to share up to four compatible USB peripherals.

The peripheral connections include three USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port. Compatible devices can include keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, USB headsets, cameras, flash drives and external storage devices.

The US5324 supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps, allowing compatible host devices and peripherals to transfer data efficiently.

ATEN InstaSync technology supports fast switching of USB control between the two connected host devices. The active host can be selected using either the built-in pushbutton or the included wired remote port selector.

Plug-and-play operation allows the switch to work with compatible Windows, macOS and Linux systems without requiring additional drivers or software. Its hot-pluggable design allows compatible host devices and peripherals to be connected or removed without shutting down the switch.

The US5324 is bus-powered through the connected host device. A compatible 5V/1A USB power adapter can be connected to the optional USB-C power input when additional power is required by the connected peripherals.

Only one connected host device can control the shared USB peripherals at a time.

One host device must have a compatible USB Type-A data port, while the other must have a compatible USB Type-C data port.

Only one connected host device can control the shared USB peripherals at a time. The active host can be selected using the built-in pushbutton or included remote port selector.

Data transfer speeds depend on the connected host devices, peripherals, cables and operating environment. All connected equipment must support USB 3.2 Gen 1 to achieve transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps.

Peripheral performance may be limited by the slowest USB standard supported by the connected host, peripheral or cable.

Some peripherals with higher power requirements may require a compatible 5V/1A USB power adapter connected to the optional USB-C power input. The USB power adapter is not included.

The USB Type-C connections support compatible USB data devices. The US5324 does not provide video output, DisplayPort Alt Mode, Thunderbolt connectivity or USB Power Delivery charging.
