The ATEN VS5812 is a compact 2-port 8K HDMI splitter designed for gaming systems, premium home entertainment, professional studios, meeting rooms and commercial audiovisual installations.

It distributes the same audio and video signal from one compatible HDMI source to two HDMI displays simultaneously. Compatible sources can include laptops, desktop computers, game consoles, media players and set-top boxes.

The VS5812 supports resolutions up to 7680 × 4320 at 60Hz with 4:2:0 chroma and 3840 × 2160 at 120Hz, with a maximum HDMI bandwidth of 48Gbps.

Support for HDR10+, Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode allows compatible gaming and entertainment equipment to deliver detailed visuals with responsive performance. The splitter also supports HDMI 3D formats, Deep Color and HDCP 2.3.

ATEN EDID Sync technology helps optimise the output resolution across the connected displays and reduce compatibility or start-up issues.

Compatible multichannel audio formats include LPCM 7.1, Dolby Digital and DTS-HD Master Audio. A front-panel pushbutton allows HDMI output 2 to be enabled or disabled without disconnecting the display.

The VS5812 is an HDMI splitter and not an HDMI switch. It mirrors the same HDMI source across both displays and does not provide separate content to each display.

The connected HDMI source, displays and cables must support the required resolution, refresh rate, HDR format, HDMI features and HDCP version.

For 8K output at 60Hz or 4K output at 120Hz, compatible HDMI source equipment, displays and suitable 28AWG HDMI cables of up to 1.5 metres are required on both the input and output sides.

For 4K output at 60Hz, HDMI cable lengths of up to 3 metres are supported on the input and output sides when used with compatible equipment.

Actual performance depends on the source device, displays, HDMI cables, resolution, refresh rate and HDMI features supported by each connected device.

The VS5812 mirrors the same HDMI source across both connected displays. It does not display separate content on each screen and does not switch between multiple HDMI source devices.

ARC and eARC are not supported.

A compatible 5V/1A USB power adapter is required and is not included.
