The Cricut Maker 3 is a powerful and versatile smart cutting machine designed for personalised clothing, vinyl decals, full-colour stickers, cards, fabric projects, leather crafts, wood projects and professional decorative effects.

It works with more than 300 compatible materials and supports 13 tools for cutting, writing, drawing, scoring, foiling, engraving, debossing, perforating and other advanced craft applications.

Product Description

The Cricut Maker 3 2008335 Smart Cutting Machine is designed for users who need advanced material compatibility, professional creative flexibility and faster cutting performance.

It works with more than 300 compatible materials, ranging from delicate paper, cardstock and fabric to vinyl, iron-on, matboard, leather, chipboard and selected thin wood materials.

The Cricut Adaptive Tool System supports 13 compatible tools for cutting, writing, drawing, scoring, foiling, engraving, debossing, perforating and adding decorative edges.

The machine includes a Premium Fine-Point Blade and Housing for cutting common thin-to-medium-weight materials such as paper, cardstock, vinyl and iron-on.

Compatible Rotary Blades allow the machine to cut virtually any fabric without requiring a bonded backing material.

The separately available Knife Blade supports compatible dense materials up to 2.4mm thick, including selected chipboard, matboard, balsa wood and tooling leather.

Compatible Cricut Scoring Wheels create sharp creases and fold lines for cards, boxes, envelopes and dimensional paper projects.

QuickSwap tools support additional decorative effects such as engraving, debossing, perforating and creating wavy edges.

The Cricut Foil Transfer Tool can be used to apply professional foil embellishments to compatible paper, cardstock and other selected materials.

Cricut Maker 3 can cut and write up to twice as fast as the original Cricut Maker when working with compatible Smart Materials under Cricut’s specified comparison conditions.

It provides up to ten times the cutting force of the Cricut Explore Air 2, allowing it to work with a broader range of thicker and denser materials.

Compatible Cricut Smart Materials can be loaded directly into the machine without using a cutting mat.

The machine can cut Smart Vinyl designs up to approximately 29.7cm wide and 3.6m long in a single project. Compatible Smart Iron-On designs can measure up to approximately 29.7cm wide and 1.2m long.

Cricut Maker 3 is compatible with the separately available Cricut Roll Holder, which helps manage and align Smart Material rolls measuring up to 22.8m long. The maximum length of an individual cut remains approximately 3.6m.

Print Then Cut compatibility allows users to print full-colour designs using a separate compatible home inkjet printer. The Cricut Maker 3 then scans the registration marks and cuts accurately around the printed image.

This makes the machine suitable for creating full-colour stickers, product labels, printable vinyl designs and selected printable iron-on projects.

Bluetooth connectivity allows wireless use with compatible computers, smartphones and tablets. The included USB cable can also connect the machine directly to a compatible Windows or macOS computer.

Projects are created and managed using Cricut Design Space, Cricut’s free design application for supported Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices.

A paid Cricut Access subscription is not required to operate the machine. Selected images, fonts and projects are available free, while additional content may be purchased separately or accessed through an optional Cricut Access subscription.

The machine includes a docking slot for a compatible tablet or smartphone, built-in tool storage and a side USB charging port for charging selected mobile devices while crafting.

Compatibility Note

Cricut Maker 3 requires a compatible Windows, macOS, iOS or Android device running Cricut Design Space.

Current minimum Cricut Design Space requirements include:

• macOS 12 or later
• iOS 17 or later
• Android 10 or later

System requirements may change through future Cricut Design Space updates.

Cricut Design Space is not supported on Chromebooks, Linux or Unix computers. Windows systems operating in S Mode are also not currently supported.

A broadband internet connection is required for initial setup, Design Space installation, account sign-in, updates and selected cloud-based functions.

Offline functionality is available through Design Space for Desktop and selected iOS devices. Offline use is not currently available through the Android application.

Print Then Cut projects require a separate compatible printer. The Cricut Maker 3 does not print designs itself.

A home inkjet printer is recommended for the widest range of Cricut printable materials. Print Then Cut sizing varies according to the selected paper size, material and design proportions.

The maximum 3.6m Smart Material cut length applies to compatible Smart Vinyl projects. Smart Iron-On has a maximum cut length of approximately 1.2m.

Smart Materials must measure at least approximately 33 × 15.2cm to be loaded without a machine mat.

Only compatible Cricut Smart Materials should be used for mat-free cutting. Other brands of vinyl, iron-on and materials should be placed on a compatible machine mat.

The Roll Holder supports compatible Smart Material rolls up to 22.8m long, but it does not increase the maximum length of an individual cut beyond approximately 3.6m.

The 2.4mm material-thickness limit depends on the material’s rigidity, density and composition. Not every material measuring 2.4mm thick can be cut successfully.

Knife Blade projects require Design Space for Desktop and are not compatible with iOS or Android devices.

Rotary Blade, Knife Blade, QuickSwap tools, Foil Transfer Tool, machine mats and Cricut Roll Holder are not included with the machine unless supplied as part of a separate retailer bundle.

The side USB port is intended only for charging compatible mobile devices. It does not support computer data transfer.

Use the rear USB connection when connecting the Cricut Maker 3 directly to a compatible computer.

A separate heat press or household iron is required to apply iron-on materials.
