The Cricut Joy Xtra Starter Bundle combines the compact Cricut Joy Xtra smart cutting machine with a selection of tools and materials for creating full-colour stickers, vinyl decals, labels, cards, personalised clothing and other craft projects.

It works with more than 50 compatible materials and supports cutting, writing, drawing, foiling and Print Then Cut projects through the free Cricut Design Space app.

Product Description

The Cricut Joy Xtra Starter Bundle provides a convenient introduction to personalised crafting, combining a compact smart cutting machine with tools and materials for completing a variety of beginner and everyday projects.

The Cricut Joy Xtra works with more than 50 compatible materials, including vinyl, iron-on, cardstock, paper and selected printable materials.

It can cut detailed shapes, lettering and designs with precision. When used with compatible Cricut Joy pens, markers and tools, the machine can also write, draw and apply foil effects.

The Cricut Joy Xtra is compatible with Cricut’s Print Then Cut function. Designs can be printed in full colour using a separate compatible home inkjet printer before the machine scans the printed registration marks and cuts accurately around the design.

Print Then Cut makes the machine suitable for creating personalised stickers, product labels, decorations, printable iron-on transfers and other full-colour craft projects.

The Cricut Joy Xtra is a cutting machine and does not print designs itself. A compatible printer is required for Print Then Cut projects.

The machine supports commonly used A4 and US Letter material sizes and connects wirelessly to compatible computers, smartphones and tablets through Bluetooth.

Projects are created and managed using the free Cricut Design Space application. Users can upload compatible designs, create their own projects or select content from the Cricut Design Space library.

Some images, fonts, projects and advanced Design Space features may require an individual purchase or an optional Cricut Access subscription.

Cricut Joy Xtra Smart Materials can be loaded directly into the machine without a cutting mat. A single design can be cut up to approximately 1.2 metres long using compatible Smart Materials.

The included LightGrip machine mat supports compatible paper, cardstock, printable materials and other materials that require a cutting mat.

The starter bundle includes vinyl, transfer tape, printable sticker material and printable iron-on material, allowing new users to begin experimenting with several project types without purchasing every basic material separately.

A separate compatible household iron or heat press is required to apply iron-on materials to fabric or other suitable blanks.

Compatibility Note

Cricut Joy Xtra requires a compatible Bluetooth-enabled computer, smartphone or tablet running Cricut Design Space.

Cricut’s current minimum Design Space requirements include Windows 10 or later, macOS 12 or later, iOS 17 or later and Android 10 or later. System requirements may change through future updates.

Cricut Design Space is not currently supported on Chromebooks, Linux or Unix computers.

An internet connection is required for initial setup, software installation, account sign-in, updates and selected cloud-based functions. Limited offline functionality is available on certain supported platforms.

The Cricut Joy Xtra is not a printer. Print Then Cut projects require a separate compatible printer.

A home inkjet printer is recommended for the widest range of printable Cricut materials. Printable iron-on and other heat-sensitive printable materials must not be used with an incompatible laser printer.

Print Then Cut projects require a compatible machine mat, Fine-Point Blade, printable material and correctly printed registration marks.

Maximum Print Then Cut dimensions vary according to the selected paper size and the proportions of the design. The complete A4 or US Letter sheet cannot be used as a rectangular cutting area because space is required for registration marks.

Cricut Joy Xtra uses wider machine mats and Smart Materials than the original Cricut Joy. Original Cricut Joy mats and Smart Materials are not the correct width for Cricut Joy Xtra.

Cricut Joy pens, markers, blades and the Cricut Joy Foil Transfer Tool are compatible with Cricut Joy Xtra.

Foiling requires a compatible Cricut Joy Foil Transfer Tool and foil sheets, which may be sold separately.

Iron-on materials require a separate compatible heat press or household iron for application. A heat press is not included in this bundle.

Material compatibility, cutting settings and application instructions vary according to the selected material. Follow the material-specific instructions in Cricut Design Space and on the Cricut packaging.
