The RCT ADP-HDMIVGA HDMI to VGA Adapter with Audio provides a practical solution for connecting a compatible HDMI source device to a monitor, television, projector or other display with a VGA input.

It is suitable for users who need to connect newer HDMI-enabled laptops, desktop computers, mini PCs, media players, consoles or set-top boxes to older VGA displays used in offices, classrooms, boardrooms, home workstations and entertainment setups.

The adapter supports video resolutions of up to 1920 × 1080 at 60Hz, including 1080p Full HD, depending on the connected source device, VGA display, VGA cable and system configuration.

A VGA connection carries video only. The integrated 3.5mm audio output allows compatible audio from the HDMI source to be connected separately to external speakers, amplifiers or other supported audio equipment.

An optional Micro USB power input is available for setups where the connected HDMI source does not provide sufficient power for stable operation. A compatible 5V USB power source and Micro USB cable may be required and are not included unless otherwise stated.

The adapter uses an AG6201 chipset and supports Hot Plug Detect on compatible systems.

This adapter is uni-directional and only supports signal transmission from an HDMI source device to a VGA display. It cannot convert a VGA source signal to HDMI.

Before ordering, check that the source device has an HDMI output and that the connected monitor, projector or television has a compatible VGA input.

Compatibility Note

Check the display ports on the source device and connected display before ordering. This adapter requires an HDMI output on the source device and a VGA input on the connected display.

The adapter is uni-directional and only works from an HDMI source device to a VGA display. It does not convert a VGA source signal to an HDMI display.

VGA transmits video only. The separate 3.5mm audio output must be connected to compatible speakers or audio equipment when audio playback is required.

Some low-power HDMI source devices may require additional power through the Micro USB input. A compatible 5V USB power source and Micro USB cable may be required.

The maximum available resolution and refresh rate depend on the HDMI source device, operating system, VGA cable and connected display.

A separate VGA cable is required to connect the adapter to a VGA display and is not included unless otherwise stated.
