The Synology E10G30-F2 is a dual-port 10GbE SFP+ network adapter with PCIe 3.0 x8 connectivity, Link Aggregation and support for optical transceivers and direct attach copper cables.

Product Description

The Synology E10G30-F2 adds high-speed 10GbE connectivity to compatible Synology systems for demanding storage, backup, virtualisation and multi-user workloads.

Its two SFP+ ports support compatible short-range and long-range optical transceivers and direct attach copper cables.

Both ports can be combined using Link Aggregation to provide up to 20Gbps of total network bandwidth, load balancing and port failover.

Network offloading technologies help reduce processing overhead on the host system during intensive data transfers.

SFP+ transceivers, direct attach cables and network equipment are not included.

Confirm that the intended Synology system, DSM version, SFP+ transceivers and cables are compatible with the E10G30-F2 before ordering.

Compatible systems include selected Synology PAS, FlashStation, HD, SA, UC, RackStation and DiskStation models equipped with a suitable PCIe expansion slot.

DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 5 or later is required.

The E10G30-F2 uses SFP+ connectors and does not provide built-in RJ-45 Ethernet ports.

SFP+ transceivers and direct attach cables must be selected separately. The complete network path, including the switch, cabling, client adapter and storage system, must support 10GbE to achieve the intended performance.

Link Aggregation increases total bandwidth across compatible connections but does not increase the maximum speed of one individual transfer.
