The Synology RackStation RS2423+ is a scalable 12-bay 2U rackmount NAS with an AMD Ryzen processor, 8GB ECC memory, built-in 10GbE, PCIe expansion and support for up to 24 drives.
Product Description
The Synology RS2423+ is designed for centralised business storage, backup, collaboration, private-cloud access, virtualisation and surveillance.
It features an AMD Ryzen V1780B quad-core processor, 8GB DDR4 ECC memory expandable to 32GB and twelve hot-swappable SATA drive bays.
One built-in 10GbE port and two 1GbE ports provide high-speed connectivity, Link Aggregation and network failover. A PCIe Gen3 expansion slot supports selected Synology 10GbE and 25GbE network cards, M.2 SSD adapters and combined network and storage adapters.
The RS2423+ delivers sequential performance of over 3,500MB/s read and 1,700MB/s write under Synology test conditions. Storage capacity can be expanded to 24 drives with an optional RX1223RP Expansion Unit.
Storage drives, memory upgrades, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack rail kits are not included.

Compatibility Note
Confirm that all storage drives, memory modules, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack accessories are compatible with the Synology RS2423+ before ordering.
The RS2423+ supports one optional RX1223RP Expansion Unit, increasing the total number of supported drive bays from twelve to twenty-four.
Compatible memory options include the Synology D4EU02-8G and D4EU02-16G. When two memory modules are installed, both modules must be identical and use the same model number.
The PCIe slot supports selected Synology 10GbE and 25GbE network cards, M.2 SSD adapter cards and combined network and M.2 adapters.
The RS2423+ does not include built-in M.2 slots. NVMe SSD caching requires a compatible Synology M.2 adapter card or combined network and M.2 adapter.
A maximum single volume size above 108TB requires 32GB of installed memory and a supported storage configuration.
Installation in a compatible 4-post rack requires an optional Synology RKS-02 sliding rail kit.
The RS2423+ includes a single power supply and does not provide the redundant power configuration of the RS2423RP+II.
Available capacity will be reduced by RAID, formatting, system partitions and file-system data. RAID does not replace an independent backup.
