The Synology RackStation RS822+ is designed to provide dependable business storage in a compact 1U rackmount format.

Its AMD Ryzen V1500B processor provides 4 cores and 8 threads, while 2GB of DDR4 ECC memory is included as standard and can be expanded to 32GB for more demanding workloads.

Four hot-swappable drive bays support compatible 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, giving businesses flexibility when balancing capacity, performance and data protection.

Networking is a particular strength. Four built-in 1GbE ports provide flexible connectivity and network redundancy options, while the PCIe Gen3 expansion slot allows compatible 10GbE or 25GbE cards to be added.

For growing storage requirements, one Synology RX418 expansion unit can increase the system from four to eight drive bays.

Synology DiskStation Manager brings file management, backup, synchronisation, surveillance and business data protection together in one central platform.
