The EcoFlow 800W Alternator Charger converts surplus electrical power generated by a compatible vehicle alternator into fast charging power for selected EcoFlow portable power stations.

Delivering up to 800W charging output, the charger can add approximately 1kWh of stored energy in around 1.3 hours under suitable vehicle and operating conditions.

Product Description

The EcoFlow 800W Alternator Charger provides a fast and efficient way to recharge a compatible EcoFlow portable power station while travelling.

Traditional vehicle accessory sockets typically provide relatively low charging power. The Alternator Charger connects directly to a compatible vehicle starter battery and uses surplus electrical power generated by the alternator while the engine is running.

Its integrated DC-to-DC power converter regulates the available power and can supply up to 800W to a compatible EcoFlow portable power station or extra battery.

Under suitable vehicle and operating conditions, the charger can add approximately 1kWh of stored energy in around 1.3 hours. This is up to eight times faster than conventional vehicle accessory-socket charging.

The charger supports three operating modes when connected to compatible bidirectional EcoFlow equipment: Charging Mode, Reverse Charging Mode and Battery Maintenance Mode.

Charging Mode uses surplus alternator power to recharge the connected EcoFlow portable power station while the vehicle engine is running.

Reverse Charging Mode allows a compatible EcoFlow power station to supply controlled power back to a supported vehicle starter battery or RV house battery at up to 800W.

Battery Maintenance Mode provides lower-power charging of up to 100W to help maintain the voltage of a compatible starter or house battery.

The reverse-charging function may assist with restoring energy to a low vehicle battery. The Alternator Charger should not be treated as a conventional direct-cranking jump starter.

The charger supports compatible 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems and is suitable for selected SUVs, 4×4 vehicles, pickup trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes and RVs.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity allow charging power, operating modes, status information and selected settings to be monitored through the EcoFlow App.

Professional installation by a competent vehicle electrician or installer is recommended because the charger connects directly to the vehicle starter battery and carries high electrical current.

The XT60 Output Cable may be included when the DELTA 3 Max and Alternator Charger are purchased together as an official bundle.

When connected to DELTA 3 Max through the XT60 Output Cable:

  • The Alternator Charger can charge the DELTA 3 Max
  • Reverse charging to the vehicle battery is not supported
  • The connection should be treated as a power-station charging configuration
  • Do not rely on Reverse Charging or Battery Maintenance Mode with this connection
