The RCT ADP-DPVGA DisplayPort to VGA Adapter is designed to connect a compatible DisplayPort source device to a VGA monitor, television, projector or other supported display.

It provides a practical display-connectivity solution for users who need to connect DisplayPort-enabled laptops, desktop computers or workstations to older VGA displays used in offices, classrooms, boardrooms, home workstations and presentation environments.

The adapter supports display resolutions of up to 1920 × 1200 at 60Hz, including 1080p Full HD, depending on the connected source device, graphics hardware, VGA display, VGA cable and system configuration.

The DisplayPort male connector includes a latch mechanism that helps maintain a secure connection during use. The release button must be pressed before disconnecting the adapter from the source device.

DisplayPort Hot Plug Detect support allows compatible devices and displays to recognise the connection when the adapter is connected.

The RCT ADP-DPVGA uses an RTD2166 chipset and features a plug-and-play design that requires no additional drivers or software on compatible systems.

This adapter is uni-directional and only supports signal transmission from a DisplayPort source device to a VGA display. It cannot convert a VGA source signal to DisplayPort.

Compatibility Note

Check the display ports on the source device and connected display before ordering. This adapter requires a DisplayPort output on the source device and a VGA input on the display.
