Product Description

The Synology RackStation RS1221+ combines eight drive bays with a compact 2U chassis designed for space-conscious business environments.

It is powered by an AMD Ryzen V1500B processor with 4 cores and 8 threads running at 2.2GHz. The system includes 4GB DDR4 ECC memory and supports expansion to 32GB.

Eight hot-swappable bays support compatible 3.5-inch SATA HDDs as well as compatible 2.5-inch SATA HDDs and SSDs.

Four 1GbE LAN ports provide built-in network connectivity, while the PCIe expansion slot can be used with selected Synology network cards for faster connectivity.

One RX418 expansion unit can increase the RS1221+ from eight to a maximum of 12 drive bays.

Its compact 306.6mm depth also makes the RS1221+ particularly useful where a traditional full-depth 2U server may not be practical.
