Product Description

The Synology RackStation RS1221RP+ is an 8-bay 2U NAS designed for organisations that need dependable shared storage with additional protection against power-supply failure.

Its AMD Ryzen V1500B processor offers 4 cores and 8 threads at 2.2GHz. The system ships with 4GB of DDR4 ECC memory and can be expanded to a maximum of 32GB.

Eight hot-swappable bays support compatible 3.5-inch SATA HDDs and 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs. One RX418 expansion unit can increase total drive support from eight to twelve bays.

Four built-in 1GbE ports provide network connectivity and redundancy options. The PCIe Gen3 expansion slot can accommodate selected Synology network cards and SSD cache adapters.

The RS1221RP+'s dual power supplies provide its key advantage for environments where continuity matters, helping keep the system available if one PSU fails.
