Product Description
The EcoFlow RIVER Pro Extra Battery is a 720Wh lithium-ion expansion battery designed specifically for use with the EcoFlow RIVER Pro portable power station.
When connected to a RIVER Pro, the Extra Battery increases the total system capacity from 720Wh to 1440Wh, providing twice the available stored energy for longer operating times between recharges.
The Extra Battery connects to the RIVER Pro using the dedicated Expansion Power Port and included Expansion Power Cable.
It uses lithium-ion battery technology and is rated for 800 charge cycles before reaching 80% of its original battery capacity.
The RIVER Pro Extra Battery cannot operate independently. Devices and appliances remain connected to and powered through the EcoFlow RIVER Pro.
Adding the Extra Battery increases available battery capacity and potential runtime. It does not increase the AC output rating of the connected RIVER Pro.

Adding the RIVER Pro Extra Battery increases battery capacity and potential runtime.
It does not increase the inverter output of the EcoFlow RIVER Pro.
Devices and appliances remain connected to the RIVER Pro itself, with the Extra Battery supplying additional stored energy to the connected system.
Connection & Operation
The RIVER Pro Extra Battery connects to the EcoFlow RIVER Pro through the dedicated Expansion Power Ports on the two units.
Connecting the Extra Battery
- Switch off both the RIVER Pro and RIVER Pro Extra Battery.
- Open the Expansion Power Port cover on the RIVER Pro.
- Connect the Expansion Power Cable securely to the RIVER Pro.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the Expansion Power Port on the Extra Battery.
- Secure the cable connections.
- Switch the system on.
When correctly connected, the RIVER Pro display will show the Extra Battery connection.
For first use, EcoFlow recommends fully charging the connected units and ensuring the battery voltage is consistent for optimal performance.
