The Synology HAT3320-20T 20TB Plus Series Hard Drive is designed for dependable high-capacity storage, backup, file sharing and multi-user workloads in compatible Synology systems.
Built for continuous 24/7 operation, the drive uses Conventional Magnetic Recording technology to provide consistent write performance in supported RAID arrays and storage pools.
Its helium-sealed design supports efficient and reliable operation in high-capacity storage environments.
The HAT3320-20T features a SATA 6Gb/s interface, 7,200 RPM rotational speed, 1GB cache and a typical maximum sustained data-transfer speed of up to 295MB/s.
With a 180TB per year workload rating and a 1,200,000-hour MTBF rating, the drive is suitable for home, small-office and business storage workloads requiring substantial capacity.
Synology Plus Series drives undergo more than 500,000 cumulative hours of compatibility and stress testing. Compatible firmware updates can also be installed directly through Synology DiskStation Manager without removing the drive or using third-party firmware tools.
This product is an internal 3.5-inch SATA hard drive. A Synology NAS enclosure is not included.

The Synology system must specifically support 20TB drives.
The HAT3320-20T is an internal 3.5-inch SATA hard drive and requires a compatible SATA drive bay.
It is not an external USB hard drive, portable storage device, solid-state drive or complete NAS system.
The available capacity displayed by Synology DSM will be lower than the stated 20TB capacity because of storage calculations, formatting, system partitions, RAID configuration and other system requirements.
Actual transfer performance depends on the Synology system, RAID configuration, network connection, workload, other installed drives and active DSM applications.
MTBF is a statistical reliability measurement and is not a guarantee or estimate of the operating life of an individual hard drive.
RAID helps protect against selected drive failures but does not replace an independent backup.
