The Synology SNV5420-800G 800GB Enterprise Series M.2 NVMe SSD is designed to improve I/O responsiveness in compatible Synology NAS and SAN environments.
Built for demanding caching workloads in high-concurrency, 24/7 environments, the SNV5420-800G is suitable for supported systems used as high-performance file servers, database storage and virtualisation platforms.
The SSD uses an M.2 2280 form factor and NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. It provides sustained sequential read speeds of up to 3,000MB/s and sustained sequential write speeds of up to 1,000MB/s.
Sustained random performance reaches up to 400,000 4KB read IOPS and 70,000 4KB write IOPS under Synology’s specified test conditions.
End-to-end data protection helps safeguard data integrity throughout the transfer path. The built-in power-loss protection circuit uses dedicated capacitors to help write data in transit to NAND flash during an unexpected shutdown.
Integration with Synology DiskStation Manager provides drive-health monitoring, lifetime wear analytics, notifications and supported firmware updates through DSM.
