The Synology RackStation RS822+ is a scalable 4-bay 1U rackmount NAS with an AMD Ryzen processor, expandable ECC memory, four 1GbE ports, PCIe expansion and support for up to eight drives.

Product Description

The Synology RS822+ is designed for centralised business storage, backup, collaboration, private-cloud access, virtualisation and surveillance.

It features an AMD Ryzen V1500B quad-core processor, 2GB DDR4 ECC memory expandable to 32GB and four hot-swappable SATA drive bays.

Four built-in 1GbE ports support Link Aggregation and network failover. A PCIe Gen3 expansion slot supports selected Synology 10GbE and 25GbE network cards, M.2 SSD adapter cards and combined network and storage adapters.

Storage capacity can be expanded to eight drives with an optional Synology RX418 Expansion Unit.

Storage drives, memory upgrades, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack rail kits are not included.

Compatibility Note

Confirm that all storage drives, memory modules, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack accessories are compatible with the Synology RS822+ before ordering.

The RS822+ supports one optional RX418 Expansion Unit, increasing the total number of supported drive bays from four to eight.

Compatible Synology memory options include selected D4ES02 and D4ES03 modules. When two memory modules are installed, both modules must be identical and use the same model number.

The PCIe slot supports selected Synology 10GbE and 25GbE network cards, M.2 SSD adapter cards and combined network and M.2 adapters.

Installation in a compatible 4-post rack requires an optional Synology RKM114 or RKS-02 rail kit.

The RS822+ has a single internal power supply and does not provide the redundant power configuration included with the RS822RP+.

Available capacity will be reduced by RAID, formatting, system partitions and file-system data. RAID does not replace an independent backup.
