The Synology RackStation RS3626xs is a scalable 12-bay 2U enterprise NAS with an Intel Xeon processor, 8GB ECC memory, dual 10GbE networking, redundant power and expansion support for up to 36 drives.

Product Description

The Synology RS3626xs is designed for enterprise file storage, backup, collaboration, virtualisation and surveillance.

It features an Intel Xeon D-1726 six-core processor, 8GB DDR4 ECC memory expandable to 48GB and twelve hot-swappable SATA drive bays.

Dual 10GbE ports provide high-speed connectivity, Link Aggregation and network failover. Two PCIe 4.0 expansion slots support selected Synology network, Fibre Channel and M.2 NVMe adapter cards.

The RS3626xs delivers sequential performance of over 6,300MB/s read and 3,700MB/s write. Storage capacity can be expanded to 36 drives with two optional RX1225RP Expansion Units.

Storage drives, memory upgrades, expansion units, PCIe cards, M.2 SSDs and rack rails are not included.

Compatibility Note

Confirm that all storage drives, memory modules, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack accessories are compatible with the Synology RS3626xs before ordering.

The RS3626xs supports up to two optional RX1225RP Expansion Units, increasing the total number of drive bays from twelve to thirty-six.

Memory expansion uses compatible Synology D4EU02-8G modules. All installed modules must be identical and use the same model number.

The RS3626xs does not include built-in M.2 slots. NVMe SSD caching requires a compatible Synology M2D20 or E10M20-T1 adapter card and supported M.2 SSDs.

The PCIe slots support selected Synology 10GbE and 25GbE network cards, Fibre Channel adapters and M.2 SSD adapter cards.

This model supports RAID F1 but does not support Synology Hybrid RAID.

Volumes larger than 108TB require at least 32GB of installed memory and a supported storage configuration.

Installation in a compatible 4-post rack requires an optional Synology RKS-02 sliding rail kit.

Available capacity will be reduced by RAID, formatting, system partitions and file-system data. RAID does not replace an independent backup.
