The Synology RackStation RS1626xs+ is a scalable 4-bay 1U enterprise NAS with an Intel Xeon processor, 16GB ECC memory, dual 10GbE, two M.2 NVMe slots and redundant power supplies.

The Synology RS1626xs+ is designed for enterprise file storage, business backup, collaboration, virtualisation and surveillance.

It features a six-core Intel Xeon D-1726 processor, 16GB DDR4 ECC memory expandable to 64GB and four hot-swappable SATA drive bays.

Dual 10GbE ports provide high-speed connectivity and network redundancy. Two built-in M.2 NVMe slots support SSD caching, while the PCIe 4.0 expansion slot supports selected network and Fibre Channel adapters.

Storage capacity can be expanded to 16 drives with an optional RX1225RP Expansion Unit.

Storage drives, M.2 SSDs, memory upgrades, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack rails are not included.

Compatibility Note

Confirm that all storage drives, M.2 SSDs, memory modules, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack accessories are compatible with the Synology RS1626xs+ before ordering.

The RS1626xs+ supports one optional RX1225RP Expansion Unit, increasing the total number of drive bays from four to sixteen.

Compatible memory expansion uses Synology D4ER02-16G modules. All installed memory modules must be identical and use the same model number.

The built-in M.2 slots support compatible NVMe SSD caching and do not support hot-swapping.

The PCIe slot supports selected Synology 10GbE and 25GbE network cards and compatible Fibre Channel adapters.

This model supports RAID F1 but does not support Synology Hybrid RAID.

Volumes larger than 108TB require additional memory and a supported storage configuration. A 1PB volume requires 64GB memory and RAID 6.

Installation in a compatible 4-post rack requires an optional Synology RKS-04 sliding rail kit.

Available capacity will be reduced by RAID, formatting, system partitions and file-system data. RAID does not replace an independent backup.
