The Synology RackStation RS2825RP+ is a scalable 16-bay 3U rackmount NAS with an AMD Ryzen processor, 8GB ECC memory, built-in 10GbE, redundant power and expansion support for up to 28 drives.
Product Description
The Synology RS2825RP+ is designed for centralised business storage, backup, collaboration, private-cloud access, virtualisation and surveillance.
It features an AMD Ryzen V1780B quad-core processor, 8GB DDR4 ECC memory expandable to 32GB and sixteen hot-swappable SATA drive bays.
One built-in 10GbE port and two 1GbE ports provide high-speed connectivity, network failover and load balancing. A PCIe Gen3 expansion slot supports selected Synology network and M.2 SSD adapter cards.
The RS2825RP+ delivers sequential performance of up to 3,519MB/s read and 1,790MB/s write. Capacity can be expanded to 28 drives with an optional RX1225RP Expansion Unit.
Redundant power supplies help maintain operation if one power supply fails.
Storage drives, memory upgrades, expansion units, PCIe cards, M.2 SSDs and rack rails are not included.

Compatibility Note
Confirm that all storage drives, memory modules, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack accessories are compatible with the Synology RS2825RP+ before ordering.
Compatible drives are mandatory for DSM installation and should be selected from Synology’s current compatibility list.
The RS2825RP+ supports one optional RX1225RP Expansion Unit, increasing the total number of drive bays from sixteen to twenty-eight.
Compatible memory upgrades include Synology D4EU02-8G and D4EU02-16G modules. When both memory slots are populated, the modules must be identical and use the same model number.
The PCIe slot supports selected Synology 10GbE and 25GbE network cards, M.2 SSD adapter cards and combined network and M.2 adapters.
The RS2825RP+ does not include built-in M.2 slots. NVMe SSD caching requires a compatible Synology adapter card and supported M.2 SSDs.
A maximum single volume size above 108TB requires 32GB of installed memory and a supported storage configuration.
Installation in a compatible 4-post rack requires an optional Synology RKS-02 sliding rail kit.
Available capacity will be reduced by RAID, formatting, system partitions and file-system data. RAID does not replace an independent backup.
