Product Description

The AOC AGON AG493UCX2 is a 49-inch curved gaming monitor designed to provide expansive screen space, smooth performance and versatile workstation connectivity.

Its super-ultrawide 5120 × 1440 Dual QHD resolution and 32:9 aspect ratio provide a desktop area comparable to two 27-inch QHD displays positioned side by side, without a bezel separating the centre of the workspace.

The VA panel features an 1800R curvature, 3000:1 typical contrast ratio and wide 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles. It displays 16.7 million colours and covers 121% of the sRGB, 100% of the NTSC and 91% of the DCI-P3 colour spaces.

A maximum refresh rate of 165Hz through DisplayPort 1.4 supports smooth high-frame-rate gaming. The monitor supports up to 120Hz at its native resolution through USB-C and up to 75Hz through HDMI.

AMD FreeSync Premium synchronises the display refresh rate with compatible graphics hardware to help reduce screen tearing and stuttering. The monitor also provides a 4ms overdrive response time, 1ms MPRT mode and Low Input Lag functionality.

VESA DisplayHDR 400 support provides enhanced highlights, colour and contrast with compatible HDR content.

USB-C connectivity supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode, USB data and up to 65W Power Delivery for compatible notebooks and other supported devices.

The built-in KVM switch allows compatible computers connected through the monitor’s USB upstream connections to share supported keyboard and mouse peripherals.

Picture-by-Picture allows content from two compatible sources to be displayed simultaneously, making the monitor useful for multitasking and multi-computer environments.

Three HDMI 2.0 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, USB-C and a three-port USB-A hub provide extensive connectivity. Built-in 2 × 5W speakers and a 3.5mm headphone output provide convenient audio options.

The ergonomic stand supports 100mm height adjustment, tilt and swivel, while a 100 × 100mm VESA mounting pattern supports compatible heavy-duty monitor arms and wall mounts.

• AMD FreeSync Premium
• Adaptive Sync
• 1ms MPRT mode
• 4ms overdrive response time
• Low Input Lag mode
• AOC Shadow Control

• Six configurable game modes

Achieving 5120 × 1440 at 165Hz requires DisplayPort 1.4 and a compatible graphics card supporting Display Stream Compression.

Connection Refresh Rates

Actual available refresh rates depend on the connected device, graphics hardware, cable, operating system and display settings.

USB-C Docking

The USB-C connection supports:

• DisplayPort Alternate Mode video
• USB data
• Up to 65W Power Delivery
• Access to compatible USB peripherals connected through the monitor

The connected device must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode for USB-C video.

Charging performance depends on the connected device’s USB Power Delivery support and power requirements. Devices requiring more than 65W may charge more slowly or require their original power adapter.

KVM Switch

The integrated KVM switch allows a compatible keyboard and mouse connected to the monitor’s USB hub to be shared between supported connected computers.

KVM functionality requires the appropriate video and USB upstream connections between the monitor and each computer.

Picture-by-Picture

Picture-by-Picture mode allows compatible content from two connected sources to be displayed simultaneously.

This can be useful for:

• Desktop and notebook combinations
• Work and personal computers

• Comparing content from separate devices
• Multi-computer professional workflows

HDR & Colour

VESA DisplayHDR 400 support provides enhanced brightness, colour and highlight detail with compatible HDR content.

The monitor provides:

• 550cd/m² typical brightness
• 3000:1 typical contrast ratio
• 121% sRGB
• 100% NTSC
• 91% DCI-P3

HDR availability depends on the connected device, operating system, application, content and selected connection.

Ergonomics & Mounting

The included stand supports:

• 100mm height adjustment
• Tilt: -5° to +15°
• Swivel: -15.5° to +15.5°

The monitor supports a 100 × 100mm VESA mounting pattern.

Due to the monitor’s size and weight, any monitor arm or wall mount must support its dimensions, VESA pattern and weight without the stand.

Compatibility

Compatible with supported computers and devices featuring:

• HDMI output
• DisplayPort output
• USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode

For 5120 × 1440 at 165Hz, the connected computer must provide a compatible DisplayPort 1.4 output and graphics hardware supporting Display Stream Compression.

USB-C video requires DisplayPort Alternate Mode support.

USB-C charging requires compatible USB Power Delivery support.

Gaming performance, variable refresh rate support and available refresh rates depend on the connected graphics hardware and selected connection.
