Touch Functionality

The BE24ECSBT uses projective capacitive touch technology.

Operating-system touch support includes:

• Windows: Up to 10 simultaneous touch points
• Chrome: Up to 10 simultaneous touch points
• Linux: Up to 10 simultaneous touch points
• macOS: Single-point touch

Supported gestures and touch functions depend on the connected computer, operating system and application.

A USB data connection between the monitor and computer is required for touch-signal transmission.

USB-C Connectivity

The USB-C connection supports:

• DisplayPort Alternate Mode video
• USB data at up to 5Gbps
• Touch-signal transmission
• Audio transmission
• Access to the USB-A hub
• Up to 80W Power Delivery

The connected USB-C device must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video output.

Charging performance depends on the connected device’s USB Power Delivery support and power requirements.

Using Touch With HDMI or DisplayPort

When USB-C is used for video, the same connection can carry video, USB data and the touch signal.

When HDMI or DisplayPort is used for video, the monitor’s USB-C upstream port must also be connected to a USB port on the computer using a compatible USB data cable.

Without the USB data connection, the monitor can display the HDMI or DisplayPort video signal, but touch input and access to the monitor’s USB-A hub will not be available.

DisplayPort Daisy Chain

The DisplayPort MST output supports compatible daisy-chained monitor installations.

DisplayPort daisy chaining requires:

• A source device that supports DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport
• Compatible displays and DisplayPort cables
• Supported graphics hardware
• Compatible operating-system support

Available resolution and refresh rate may be reduced when multiple monitors are connected in sequence.

Ergonomics

The adjustable stand supports:

• Height: 0mm to 130mm
• Tilt: -5° to 35°
• Swivel: -180° to 180°
• Pivot: -90° to 90°
• VESA Mount: 100 x 100mm

Pivot support allows the display to be rotated into portrait orientation for compatible applications.

ASUS Eye Care Plus

The BE24ECSBT includes:

• ASUS Eye Care Plus
• ASUS Flicker-Free technology
• ASUS Low Blue Light technology
• Ambient-light sensor
• Automatic brightness adjustment

These features are designed to support more comfortable viewing during extended use.

Compatibility

USB-C video requires a computer or device that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C.

Touch functionality requires a USB data connection between the monitor and computer.

Up to 10-point touch is available on compatible Windows, Chrome and Linux systems. Compatible macOS systems support single-point touch.

USB-C Power Delivery depends on the connected device’s charging requirements and supported USB Power Delivery profiles.

Please check that your computer, operating system, USB connection and software support the required video, touch, charging and multi-monitor functionality.
