Product Overview

The EcoFlow 100W Flexible Solar Panel provides renewable solar charging for compatible portable power stations, EcoFlow Power Kits and supported solar charging systems.

Unlike a conventional rigid panel, its lightweight flexible construction allows it to conform to selected curved or uneven mounting surfaces. This makes it particularly suitable for vehicle roofs, caravans, RVs, vans, boats and other installations where a heavy rigid frame may not be practical.

The panel weighs approximately 2.3kg, making it around 70% lighter than many traditional rigid solar panels. Its flexibility of up to 258° allows it to follow suitable curved surfaces without substantially affecting solar input when installed correctly.

The panel contains 182 monocrystalline silicon cells manufactured using advanced glass-fibre and lamination processes. These materials help protect the cells while supporting efficient solar conversion and reliable outdoor performance.

With up to 23% conversion efficiency, the panel can provide effective solar charging under suitable sunlight conditions. Integrated bypass diodes help reduce overheating and maintain cell performance when parts of the panel are temporarily shaded.

A protective ETFE layer and IP68 rating help protect the panel against water and dust under specified test conditions.

Actual solar performance depends on sunlight strength, panel orientation, installation position, temperature, shading, surface cleanliness, cable losses and the charging limits of the connected power station or solar controller.

Dimensions and Weight

Panel Dimensions: 1055mm × 612mm × 25mm
Panel Weight: Approximately 2.3kg
Flexibility: Up to 258°

The panel’s flexible design is intended for suitable curved surfaces. It should not be folded, creased or bent beyond EcoFlow’s specified limits.

Compatibility

The EcoFlow 100W Flexible Solar Panel can be used with compatible:

• EcoFlow portable power stations
• EcoFlow Power Kits
• Solar charge controllers
• 12V, 24V and supported 48V solar systems
• RV and caravan solar installations
• Boat and marine solar installations
• Compatible third-party portable power stations

Compatibility depends on the voltage, current, wattage, connector and solar-input limits of the connected equipment.

Important Compatibility Note

Please confirm the connected device’s solar-input specifications before ordering.

The connected power station or solar controller should support:

• An open-circuit voltage of approximately 20.3V
• A maximum operating voltage of approximately 17.1V
• A short-circuit current of approximately 6.3A
• A maximum operating current of approximately 5.9A
• Solar input from a panel rated at approximately 100W

A compatible connector does not automatically guarantee electrical compatibility.

Do not connect the panel if its voltage, current or combined multi-panel output exceeds the limits of the connected power station or solar charge controller.

Charging Cable Note

The Solar-to-XT60 or XT60i charging cable is not included with the South African product package.

A compatible EcoFlow Solar-to-XT60 or XT60i charging cable must be purchased separately when connecting the panel to a supported EcoFlow portable power station.

The panel includes a short solar connection lead, but the separate power-station charging cable is required for most EcoFlow portable power station installations.

Installation Options

The panel includes pre-cut eyelets that support multiple installation methods.

Depending on the mounting surface and application, the panel may be installed using:

• Suitable hooks
• Corrosion-resistant fasteners
• Cable ties designed for outdoor use
• Approved mounting brackets
• Suitable industrial adhesive
• Compatible solar-panel mounting accessories

Mounting hardware, adhesive, brackets and installation accessories are not included unless specifically stated.

Important Installation Note

The mounting surface must be suitable for the panel’s dimensions, weight, flexibility and operating temperature.

Before installation:

• Confirm that the mounting surface is clean, stable and structurally suitable
• Check the required bending radius and panel orientation
• Ensure the panel is adequately ventilated
• Avoid sharp edges or pressure points beneath the panel
• Use installation materials suitable for outdoor temperatures and weather exposure
• Avoid drilling, piercing or cutting the solar cells
• Do not fold or sharply crease the panel
• Keep the junction box and connection cable accessible
• Secure the panel against wind movement and vibration

Professional installation is recommended for permanent vehicle, marine, caravan, RV or building applications.

Vehicle and Marine Installation Note

The panel may be suitable for selected caravans, RVs, vans and boats, provided the surface and installation method are appropriate.

Before installing the panel on a vehicle or vessel:

• Confirm that the mounting surface can tolerate the adhesive or fasteners used
• Consider vibration, wind loading and vehicle movement
• Avoid areas exposed to excessive heat from engines or exhaust systems
• Route cables away from moving parts and sharp edges
• Use weather-resistant cable glands where cables pass through roofs or panels
• Confirm that the installation complies with applicable vehicle, marine and electrical standards

Permanent installation should be completed by a suitably qualified installer.

Solar Performance Note

The panel’s 100W ±5W rating is measured under controlled standard test conditions.

Real-world output will normally vary according to:

• Strength and duration of direct sunlight
• Panel angle and orientation
• Time of day and season
• Cloud cover and weather conditions
• Ambient and panel temperature
• Partial shading
• Dust, dirt or moisture on the panel
• Cable length and electrical losses
• Connected device charging limits
• Installation ventilation and surface temperature

For improved performance, position the panel where it receives direct sunlight with minimal shading.

Partial Shading Note

Integrated bypass diodes help maintain solar-cell performance and reduce overheating when part of the panel is shaded.

However, shading from roof racks, aerials, vents, trees, buildings or other objects can still significantly reduce total output.

Plan the installation position carefully to minimise regular shading throughout the day.

IP68 Protection Note

The panel has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating under controlled laboratory conditions.

The rating does not mean that every component in the complete installation is waterproof.

Always:

• Keep electrical connectors protected when disconnected
• Ensure plugs are clean and dry before connection
• Use suitable weather-resistant connectors and cable glands
• Inspect the panel and cables regularly for damage
• Do not use damaged connectors, cables or solar cells
• Avoid prolonged immersion beyond the manufacturer’s specified conditions

Multiple-Panel Connection Note

Multiple panels may be connected only when the total voltage, current and wattage remain within the limits of the connected power station or solar charge controller.

Series and parallel connections affect the electrical output differently:

• Series connections increase total voltage
• Parallel connections increase total current

Only use properly rated solar connectors, cables, fuses and combining equipment.

Do not combine panels with incompatible voltage, current or electrical characteristics without confirmation from a qualified installer.

Recommended Use Cases

• Caravan and RV solar installations
• Camper van and overlanding setups
• Boat and marine applications
