The EcoFlow RIVER 2 Max is a compact 512Wh portable power station with 500W pure sine wave AC output, X-Boost support up to 1000W, fast one-hour charging and long-life LFP battery chemistry for home backup, camping, travel and office use.

Product Description

The EcoFlow RIVER 2 Max is a compact portable power station designed for customers who require more capacity than an entry-level unit while maintaining a lightweight and easy-to-transport design.

Its 512Wh lithium iron phosphate battery provides stored power for compatible routers, laptops, lights, mobile devices, cameras, televisions, small appliances and work-from-home equipment during power interruptions or when mains electricity is unavailable.

The RIVER 2 Max delivers up to 500W of continuous pure sine wave AC output, with surge power of up to 1000W.

EcoFlow X-Boost technology can support selected compatible appliances rated up to approximately 1000W by adjusting the supplied voltage. X-Boost does not increase the normal continuous AC output above 500W.

EcoFlow X-Stream charging technology can recharge the RIVER 2 Max from approximately 0% to 100% in 60 minutes through a compatible AC mains connection.

The long-life LFP battery is rated to retain more than 80% of its original capacity after approximately 3000 complete charging cycles.

The RIVER 2 Max supports multiple charging methods, including AC wall charging, compatible solar charging, vehicle charging and USB-C charging.

Its solar input supports up to 220W from compatible solar panels, while the USB-C port supports up to 100W input and output for compatible laptops, mobile devices and charging equipment.

Emergency Power Supply functionality provides a transfer time of approximately 30 milliseconds when mains electricity is interrupted. Connected equipment must be able to tolerate this transfer time.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity allow the RIVER 2 Max to be monitored and controlled through the EcoFlow App. Available functions may include battery monitoring, charging settings, output control, X-Boost settings and firmware updates.

The combined continuous AC power requirement of connected devices must remain within the RIVER 2 Max’s 500W rated AC output.

Appliances containing motors, compressors, pumps, transformers or heating elements may require substantially more power during startup. Check both the normal operating and startup requirements before connecting an appliance.

X-Boost can support selected compatible appliances rated up to approximately 1000W by adjusting the supplied voltage.

X-Boost does not increase the RIVER 2 Max’s normal continuous output above 500W and may not be suitable for:

• Appliances with strict voltage requirements

• Devices with electronic speed controls
• Equipment requiring stable full-voltage operation

The RIVER 2 Max provides Emergency Power Supply functionality with a transfer time of approximately 30 milliseconds.

The EPS function is not a zero-transfer online UPS and may not be suitable for critical servers, sensitive workstations, life-support equipment, medical devices, security systems or telecommunications equipment requiring uninterrupted power.

Solar charging requires a compatible solar panel and a suitable EcoFlow Solar-to-XT60 or XT60i charging cable. Solar panels and solar charging cables are sold separately unless specifically included in a bundle.

Vehicle charging requires a compatible EcoFlow vehicle-charging cable and a suitable 12V or 24V vehicle accessory socket.

USB-C charging requires a compatible USB-C Power Delivery charger and cable capable of supplying the required charging power.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions require a compatible mobile device and the EcoFlow App. Some functions may require internet access and current product firmware.

Runtime varies according to connected-device wattage, startup requirements, battery level, conversion losses, temperature and operating settings.
