The EcoFlow WAVE 3 Portable Air Conditioner delivers powerful portable cooling and heating for caravans, camper vans, tents, cabins, compact rooms, mobile workspaces and off-grid environments.

With 6100 BTU cooling capacity, 6800 BTU heating capacity, a temperature setting range of 16°C to 30°C, five operating functions, smart app control and noise levels starting from approximately 44dB, the WAVE 3 provides flexible climate control without requiring permanent installation.

The unit can operate from a compatible AC wall outlet, EcoFlow portable power station or optional EcoFlow WAVE 2 or WAVE 3 Add-On Battery.

The WAVE 3 does not include a built-in battery. The Add-On Battery, portable power station and other charging accessories are sold separately unless specifically included in a bundle.

Product Overview

The EcoFlow WAVE 3 Portable Air Conditioner provides portable cooling and heating for locations where a fixed air-conditioning system may not be practical.

It delivers 6100 BTU of cooling capacity and 6800 BTU of heating capacity, making it suitable for compact spaces such as caravans, camper vans, tents, cabins, small rooms, mobile offices and temporary work areas.

Under EcoFlow’s specified test conditions, the WAVE 3 can lower the temperature by up to 8°C in approximately 15 minutes or raise the temperature by up to 9°C in approximately 15 minutes.

The unit supports a temperature setting range of 16°C to 30°C, allowing it to be used for both cooling and heating throughout different seasons.

An included insulated exhaust duct directs hot or cold exhaust air away from the conditioned space. Three exhaust duct adapter covers support different installation arrangements.

The WAVE 3 can operate directly from a compatible AC wall outlet. Optional portable operation is available through a compatible EcoFlow WAVE Add-On Battery or supported EcoFlow portable power station.

The WAVE 3 itself does not contain an internal battery.

Operating Functions

Cooling Mode

Provides active cooling between 16°C and 30°C.

The exhaust duct should be positioned correctly to remove hot exhaust air from the conditioned area.

Heating Mode

Provides active heating between 16°C and 30°C.

Cold exhaust air must be directed away from the conditioned area using the included duct system.

Automatic Function

Automatically adjusts operation according to the selected temperature and surrounding conditions.

The unit can switch between supported operating functions to help maintain a more consistent temperature.

Fan Mode

Circulates air without actively cooling or heating the space.

Fan Mode can be used when air movement is required without compressor operation.

Dehumidification Function

Helps reduce moisture in the surrounding air.

This function may be useful during humid or rainy conditions. Collected water must be drained according to the operating instructions.

Sleep Mode

Sleep Mode reduces operating noise to approximately 44dB under suitable conditions.

Actual noise levels vary according to the selected fan speed, compressor operation, temperature and installation environment.

Pet Care Function

The EcoFlow App allows a temperature threshold to be configured for Pet Care monitoring.

When the temperature exceeds the configured threshold, the WAVE 3 can begin cooling and send a notification through the EcoFlow App.

Pet Care Mode is an additional convenience function and should not replace responsible supervision, ventilation, reliable power or appropriate animal-care precautions.

Water Drain Alert

The EcoFlow App can notify the user when the internal water tank approaches its capacity.

The included drainage pipe can be connected when manual or continuous drainage is required.

Exhaust Duct Installation

Portable air conditioners require correct airflow separation to operate efficiently.

The included insulated exhaust duct should be installed so that unwanted hot or cold exhaust air is directed outside the conditioned space.

Depending on the selected mode:

• Cooling Mode produces cool supply air and warm exhaust air
• Heating Mode produces warm supply air and cold exhaust air

The exhaust outlet should not discharge back into the same area being cooled or heated.

Poor duct installation may significantly reduce performance.

Installation Guidance

For improved operation:

• Place the WAVE 3 on a stable, level surface
• Keep the air inlet and outlets unobstructed
• Install the exhaust duct securely
• Keep the duct as straight and short as reasonably possible
• Seal gaps around windows, doors or vehicle openings
• Keep the unit away from direct sunlight where possible
• Allow sufficient clearance for airflow
• Do not cover the unit during operation
• Keep the unit away from dust, sand and loose debris
• Do not operate the unit on its side or upside down

Drainage Information

Water may collect inside the unit during cooling, heating or dehumidification, depending on humidity and operating conditions.

When drainage is required:

• Connect the included drain pipe
• Follow the water-drain instructions in the user guide
• Hold the drainage control for the required period to begin automatic drainage
• Drain the unit before transport or storage
• Keep the unit level during operation
• Do not tilt or turn the unit upside down

Failure to drain accumulated water before moving the product may result in leakage or internal damage.

Room-Size and Performance Note

EcoFlow’s rapid cooling and heating claims were tested in a controlled space of approximately 10m³.

Actual performance depends on:

Noise Level Note

The WAVE 3 operates at approximately 44dB to 58dB.

The lowest noise rating generally applies under reduced-load or Sleep Mode conditions.

Noise may increase when:

• The compressor operates at higher output
• Maximum fan speed is selected
• The unit is heating or cooling rapidly
• The exhaust duct is restricted
• The unit is positioned on an uneven surface
• The air filters or vents require cleaning

IPX4 Protection Note

The WAVE 3 carries an IPX4 water-resistance rating.

This means the unit is designed to resist splashing water under specified test conditions.

It is not waterproof and must not be:

• Submerged in water
• Left exposed to heavy rain
• Operated in standing water
• Cleaned with a pressure washer
• Stored outdoors without protection
• Used with wet electrical plugs or cables

Refrigerant Safety Note

The WAVE 3 uses R290 refrigerant.

R290 is a flammable refrigerant and must be handled according to the safety instructions.

Do not:

• Pierce or damage the refrigerant circuit
• Expose the unit to flames or excessive heat
• Attempt unauthorised refrigerant repairs
• Operate a visibly damaged unit
• Store the product near ignition sources

Refrigerant servicing should be completed only by an appropriately qualified technician.

Transport and Storage Note

Before moving or storing the WAVE 3:

• Switch the unit off
• Disconnect all power sources
• Drain accumulated water
• Disconnect the exhaust duct
• Keep the unit upright
• Do not tilt, overturn or drop the unit
• Allow the unit to settle upright before operating it after transport
