The Synology RackStation RS422+ is a compact 4-bay 1U NAS designed to bring Synology's business storage platform into environments where rack space is limited.

Its AMD Ryzen R1600 processor features 2 cores and 4 threads, while 2GB of DDR4 ECC memory helps protect against certain memory-related data errors.

Four hot-swappable bays support compatible 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. This allows the RS422+ to be configured around the required balance of storage capacity, performance and data protection.

Dual built-in 1GbE network ports provide reliable everyday connectivity with support for failover and load balancing. Businesses requiring faster network performance can add the compatible Synology E10G22-T1-Mini Network Upgrade Module to introduce 10GbE connectivity.

Its compact chassis is one of the RS422+'s biggest advantages. At just 327.5mm deep, it can be deployed in supported 2-post racks or compatible 4-post installations, making it particularly useful where a traditional full-depth rackmount NAS may be impractical.
