Product Description

The RCT BRK-TAB-1 is a two-in-one multi-purpose anti-theft tablet kiosk designed for compatible tablets with screen sizes from 7.9 to 10.5 inches.

The kiosk can be installed as a countertop stand using its bolt-down base or converted into a wall-mounted tablet holder using the supplied wall adapter.

Its universal adjustable holder grips the tablet from multiple sides and includes protective EVA pads to help prevent direct contact between the tablet and the holder.

The holder provides a tilt range from +70° to -70°, a swivel range from +165° to -165° and screen rotation from +180° to -180°. This allows the tablet to be positioned for different viewing angles and rotated between portrait and landscape orientations.

A keyed security cable connects to the holder to help deter unauthorised removal. The cable is locked and unlocked using the supplied key mechanism.

Integrated cable management allows a compatible charging or data cable to be routed through the tablet holder and mounting structure for a cleaner installed appearance.

Specifications

Countertop Installation

For countertop use, the BRK-TAB-1 must be secured using its bolt-down mounting plate.

The base is installed by drilling suitable mounting holes into the counter or desktop and fastening the mounting plate directly to the supporting surface.

The decorative base cover fits over the mounting plate after installation to create a cleaner appearance.

The kiosk is not designed to operate as an unsecured freestanding tablet stand.

Wall-Mounted Installation

The tablet holder can be detached from the vertical stand and installed on a wall using the included wall-mounting adapter.

The wall adapter must be secured to a suitable structural surface using hardware appropriate for the wall material.

The holder then connects to the wall adapter and retains its tablet adjustment and locking functions.

The mount must not be fixed directly to unsupported plasterboard or drywall.

Viewing Adjustment

The adjustable mounting head provides:

Anti-Theft Security

The BRK-TAB-1 includes a lockable tablet holder and keyed security cable.

The security cable connects to the rear of the tablet holder and is locked by pressing and turning the key clockwise. It is unlocked by pressing and turning the key counter-clockwise.

The anti-theft system is designed to help deter opportunistic removal.

It does not replace appropriate access control, staff supervision, insurance or additional security measures in high-risk environments.

Cable Management

A compatible charging or data cable can be routed through the rear of the tablet holder and along the mounting structure.

For countertop installations, the cable can be guided through the vertical stand and base.

Before installation:

• Confirm that the charging connector fits through the cable path
• Check that the cable is long enough
• Ensure the tablet’s charging port remains accessible
• Prevent cables from becoming pinched during adjustment
• Leave enough cable slack for tilt, swivel and rotation
• Keep the cable away from sharp edges

A tablet charging cable and power adapter are not specified as included.
