Product Description

The Synology DiskStation DS1823xs+ is an 8-bay enterprise NAS designed for organisations that need powerful storage, advanced data protection and room for future expansion.

It is powered by an AMD Ryzen V1780B processor with 4 cores and 8 threads, operating at 3.35GHz base frequency and up to 3.6GHz turbo. The system includes 8GB DDR4 ECC memory and supports expansion to 32GB.

Eight hot-swappable main bays support compatible 3.5-inch SATA HDDs and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. Two additional M.2 2280 NVMe slots support compatible Synology NVMe SSDs for cache acceleration or supported M.2 storage pools.

Networking includes one built-in 10GbE RJ-45 port, two 1GbE ports and a dedicated out-of-band management port. A PCIe Gen3 expansion slot allows additional compatible 10GbE or 25GbE networking to be added.

Up to two DX517 expansion units can increase total supported drive capacity from eight to eighteen bays.

Synology DSM provides a central platform for business file storage, backup, data protection, synchronisation, virtualisation storage and surveillance.
