The Synology DiskStation DS2422+ is a 12-bay desktop NAS designed for businesses with large storage, file-sharing and data-protection requirements.

It is powered by an AMD Ryzen V1500B processor with 4 cores and 8 threads at 2.2GHz. The system includes 4GB DDR4 ECC memory and supports expansion to 32GB.

Twelve hot-swappable drive bays support compatible 3.5-inch SATA HDDs as well as 2.5-inch SATA HDDs and SSDs.

Four built-in 1GbE network ports provide everyday connectivity, while the PCIe expansion slot supports selected 10GbE and 25GbE network cards.

One Synology DX1222 expansion unit can double the available drive bays from 12 to 24.

Synology DSM provides file sharing, backup, collaboration, virtualisation storage, surveillance and data-protection capabilities within one central platform.
