The Synology RackStation RS6426xs+ is a scalable 16-bay 3U enterprise NAS with an Intel Xeon processor, 16GB ECC memory, dual 10GbE networking, redundant power and expansion support for up to 64 drives.

The Synology RS6426xs+ is designed for enterprise storage, backup, collaboration, virtualisation, multi-site synchronisation and surveillance.

It features an Intel Xeon D-1739 eight-core processor, 16GB DDR4 ECC memory expandable to 96GB and sixteen hot-swappable SATA drive bays.

Dual 10GbE ports provide high-speed connectivity, Link Aggregation and network failover. Two PCIe 4.0 expansion slots support selected Synology network, Fibre Channel and M.2 NVMe adapter cards.

The RS6426xs+ delivers sequential performance of over 6,700MB/s read and 4,300MB/s write. Storage capacity can be expanded to 64 drives with four optional RX1225RP Expansion Units.

Storage drives, memory upgrades, expansion units, PCIe cards, M.2 SSDs and rack rails are not included.

Compatibility Note

Confirm that all storage drives, memory modules, expansion units, PCIe cards and rack accessories are compatible with the Synology RS6426xs+ before ordering.

Compatible Synology drives are required and should be selected from Synology’s current compatibility list.

The RS6426xs+ supports up to four optional RX1225RP Expansion Units, increasing the total number of drive bays from sixteen to sixty-four.

Memory expansion uses compatible Synology D4ER02-16G modules. All installed memory modules must be identical and use the same model number.

The RS6426xs+ does not include built-in M.2 slots. NVMe SSD caching requires a compatible Synology M2D20 or E10M20-T1 adapter card and supported M.2 SSDs.

The PCIe slots support selected Synology 10GbE and 25GbE network cards, Fibre Channel adapters and M.2 SSD adapter cards.

This model supports RAID F1 but does not support Synology Hybrid RAID.

Volumes larger than 108TB require additional memory. A 1PB volume requires at least 64GB of memory, RAID 6 and a supported storage configuration.

Installation in a compatible 4-post rack requires an optional Synology RKS-02 sliding rail kit.

Available capacity will be reduced by RAID, formatting, system partitions and file-system data. RAID does not replace an independent backup.
