Product Description

The Transcend MTS425S 250GB SSD is designed for compatible laptops, ultrabooks and compact systems that support M.2 2242 SATA III storage. Its shorter 42mm form factor makes it suitable for devices where a standard M.2 2280 drive will not fit.

The MTS425S range uses SATA III 6Gb/s and 3D NAND flash, with Transcend listing read speeds of up to 550MB/s and write speeds of up to 500MB/s. This 250GB model is best positioned as an entry-capacity upgrade for operating system use, applications and light storage.

This must be listed clearly as M.2 SATA, not NVMe. Same slot shape, different technology, because naturally that was the road humanity chose.
