The Transcend DrivePro 550 is a dual-lens dashcam with a 2K QHD front camera, Full HD cabin camera, four infrared LEDs, built-in GPS and GLONASS, Wi-Fi connectivity, driver-assistance functions and an included 128GB microSD memory card.

Product Description

The Transcend DrivePro 550 is designed for drivers who require simultaneous road and cabin recording. It is suitable for private vehicles, taxis, ride-sharing vehicles, shuttle services and selected fleet applications.

The front-facing camera uses a STARVIS high-sensitivity image sensor to capture detailed footage during daytime and low-light driving conditions. It records at up to 2560 × 1440 2K QHD resolution at 30 frames per second and can also record Full HD 1920 × 1080 footage at up to 60 frames per second.

Its 140-degree diagonal viewing angle captures a broad view of the road ahead, while the F/2.0 aperture allows more light to reach the image sensor.

The cabin-facing camera uses an Exmor image sensor and records Full HD 1920 × 1080 footage at 30 frames per second. Its 180-degree rotating lens and 140-degree viewing angle provide flexible coverage of the vehicle interior.

Four infrared LEDs automatically activate in low-light conditions to improve interior recording. Footage captured while the infrared LEDs are active is recorded in greyscale.

The built-in GPS and GLONASS receiver records location coordinates, date and time with compatible footage. Route information can be viewed through Transcend DrivePro Toolbox on a compatible computer.

Built-in Wi-Fi allows the DrivePro 550 to connect to the Transcend DrivePro App on a compatible mobile device. Users can view live footage, adjust settings, play recordings and download video files without removing the memory card.

A built-in G-sensor automatically activates emergency recording when an impact is detected. A dedicated emergency button also allows the current recording to be protected manually when it is safe to operate the device.

Additional functions include Parking Mode, time-lapse recording, loop recording, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, speed alert, headlight reminder, driver fatigue alert and an onscreen Head-Up Display.

The included 128GB microSD memory card provides ready-to-use storage for compatible continuous dual-camera recording.

Compatibility

Suitable for vehicles with a compatible 12V or 24V cigarette-lighter or accessory socket.

The DrivePro 550 must remain connected to the supplied vehicle lighter adapter during normal continuous recording.

The cabin-facing lens is designed to record the interior of the vehicle. It is not a separate exterior rear-window camera.

Footage recorded while the infrared LEDs are active appears in greyscale. The infrared LEDs improve cabin visibility in low-light conditions but do not provide colour night recording.

The built-in lithium-polymer battery is intended to provide temporary backup power, support short-duration Parking Mode operation and safely store active recordings if external power is interrupted. It is not intended for normal cable-free operation.

Parking Mode uses the built-in battery and may drain it. Long-term parking surveillance requires a compatible continuous external power source. The supplied vehicle lighter adapter does not provide power after the engine is switched off in vehicles where the accessory socket is deactivated.

The Transcend DrivePro App requires a compatible Wi-Fi-enabled Android or iOS mobile device.

GPS and GLONASS reception may be affected by tunnels, underground or covered parking areas, tall buildings, severe weather and other environmental conditions.

Lane-departure warning and forward-collision warning are automatically disabled when the front camera is set to 1080P at 60fps.

Driver-assistance alerts depend on correct installation, visible road markings, suitable lighting and appropriate driving conditions. These functions are supplementary and do not replace attentive and responsible driving.

The Head-Up Display refers to information displayed on the dashcam’s LCD screen. It does not project information onto the vehicle windscreen.

Install the dashcam within the area covered by the windscreen wipers and where it does not obstruct the driver’s view, controls, airbags or other safety systems.

When replacing the included memory card, Transcend recommends a compatible High Endurance microSD card for continuous dashcam recording.
