The Synology E10G30-F2 is a dual-port 10GbE SFP+ network adapter designed to add high-speed network connectivity to compatible Synology systems. It supports optical SR and LR transceivers, direct attach copper cables, Link Aggregation, jumbo frames and network-processing offload features.

Product Description

The Synology E10G30-F2 Dual-Port 10GbE SFP+ Network Adapter provides high-speed network connectivity for compatible Synology NAS and SAN systems.

With two 10GbE SFP+ ports, the adapter is designed for demanding storage applications, high-volume file transfers, virtualisation, backups and multi-user business environments.

The two network ports can be combined into a Link Aggregation Group to provide up to 20Gb/s total network throughput, together with load balancing and port failover. Link Aggregation increases combined network capacity but does not increase the speed of an individual connection.

The E10G30-F2 supports compatible short-range optical transceivers, long-range optical transceivers and direct attach copper cables, providing flexible connectivity for different network distances and infrastructure requirements.

Support for jumbo frames and CPU offloading features helps reduce network-processing overhead and improve system efficiency during high-volume data transfers.

The adapter uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface and supports both low-profile and full-height installation brackets.

This card does not use RJ45 Ethernet connectors. A standard RJ45 network cable cannot connect directly to the SFP+ ports.

Link Aggregation requires compatible network equipment and configuration. It increases total network throughput across multiple connections but does not increase the maximum speed of a single file transfer or individual network session.
