Product Description

The Transcend MSA230S 128GB SSD is an internal mSATA solid state drive designed for compatible systems that use the mSATA form factor. It is not a 2.5-inch SATA SSD and it is not an M.2 SSD, because apparently three storage formats with similar names still were not enough punishment.

The MSA230S range uses SATA III 6Gb/s, 3D NAND flash and DRAM cache. Transcend lists the range with read speeds of up to 560MB/s and write speeds of up to 500MB/s, depending on capacity and system conditions. The 128GB model is best positioned for light system storage, embedded applications, replacement use and compact devices where mSATA is specifically supported.

Customers should confirm mSATA compatibility before purchase. This drive will not fit standard M.2 slots.
